Appointments Preferred - Walk-Ins Subject To Availability

To book an appointment please email us at info@luckymonkeytattoo.com with your tattoo idea including the approximate size and location on your body.  Please include any reference images. If you have a particular artist in mind - please mention that in your email. 

 

After the initial email - we will either book you directly or put you in touch with the artist for further consultation. Once an artist, date and time of your appointment is determined we will instruct you to leave a deposit which can range from $50-$150 depending on the artist. Deposits are non-refundable.  On the day of your appointment you will see your tattoo design (We don't send out designs via email).  Any revisions will be made then.  We won't start inking you until you are satisfied with your tattoo's design and placement.

 

 

Pricing, Payments & Guarantee

 

Lucky Monkey Tattoo's prices are in line with all the reputable shops in Michigan.  We have a $80 shop minimum.  Our prices are roughly $150 an hour* (*Depending on the artist).  We tend to price more by piece and will work with you if you have a budget in mind.   *We do not charge for drawing/design time - just the actual tattoo time.  **The $80 shop minimum is only for tattooing not piercings.



Payment:  We accept cash and all major credit cards except Discover.  We do not accept checks. The balance of your tattoo cost will be due less your deposit paid after your artist tattoos you on your appointment day.



Guarantee: We back all of our work.  You are entitled to one complimentary touch up after your tattoo is healed (within six months of original ink).  

Preparing for Your Appointment

Get a good night's sleep the night before. On the Day of your appointment: eat at least 2 hours before your appointment and bring something to drink (non alcoholic) if you like. Wear loose, comfortable clothing so your artist can access the area that is being tattooed.  Download our Lucky Monkey APP on your iPhone or Android and fill out the digital health screening and tattoo waiver and review your Aftercare Instructions.

 

Vegan Ink

Most of the ink we use is Vegan including Eternal, Starbrite, Waverly, and Intenze.  If you specifically want to get tattooed with Vegan ink - please mention this during your email consultation and again when you see your artist for your appointment.

 

Minors

 

Lucky Monkey does not tattoo anyone under the age of 18 - even with parental consent.  You must be at least 18 with a valid photo ID to get inked at Lucky Monkey.  If you are 17 years old - and would like to plan your tattoo for when you turn 18 - feel free to email us to discuss your tattoo and make an appointment for on or after your birthday.

Additionally, no one under the age of 16 is allowed in the tattoo shop.

**Our sister shop - LOVELY MONKEY TATTOO in Whitmore Lake, Michigan (just 20 minutes North of Ann Arbor) will tattoo minors ages 16 and 17 with the following (1) A parent present (2) a copy of the minor's birth certificate (3) valid photo IDS for both parent and minor. Please email artist@Lovelymonkeyink.com to book.
